I've been subscribing to starofmay's YouTube channel (before my account got deleted, of course) for some months now, but I just visited her blog yesterday. And there were sooo many talented craft lovers taking part in her Color Inspiration challenge. I immediately fell in love with the color schemes, but unfortunately I don't have anything in those colors (tough challenge!). And the deadline is today, so I don't have any time to go downtown and shop for some scrapbooking materials.
Then, I got this idea making a card with some of my button collections, and lucky me, I have the exactly perfect colors :)
This is what I came up with. Not the best, but I tried and I'm happy to be a part of this.ETA : Okay. I can't. I'm totally not satisfied with this and I'm sure I could do better if only I have the chance to go shopping. So I did. I went to grab some scrapbooking materials and a pack of Faber Castell watercolor pencils. And I made another one. I don't care if it's past the deadline, and this doesn't count, but the most important part is I'm happy with the result. Sorry, let me, make another one, please? | this could make winner status! FUN! ~Donna |
 | This is such a cute card! I love the border. Is the little boy a stamp? Very well done! |
 | zomer wrote on Dec 11, '08, edited on Dec 11, '08 aww that is the cutest thing. you are very crafty. A long time ago, I'd also made cards like these, or I used embroidery to make swans and other things. It's fun to make it.
Looking at the yarn, makes me want to pick up my knitting work again.I have been knitting hats during the renovation. Love it, though my mom always calls me a granny, because i like to knit while watching TV:P |
 | Thanks! The border made of Kamoi Masking Tapes, it's a trend now in Japan. And no, the little boy's not a stamp. I draw him :) |
 | You do crafts too? *gives you high five*
Hats? Great, I couldn't knit anything but mufflers. I wanted to try hats of sweaters, but too lazy to count. I'm also on my yarns again now, realizing I left soo many unfinished project from last year's winter, haha. Lazy me. But it's fun. |

 | zomer wrote on Dec 19, '08 ahah, I love crafts too, I used to have too much hobbies, crotchett, needlepoint, embroidery, I don't make it often. But one thing that stuck around was knitting. I can spend hours in those little wool shops and fidgeting about which color to buy. Yeah, hats, socks, scarves, I can bascically do most of the stuff :D. I have made I tiny sweater before, but I am not that good in sewing the loose ends and odds together.
i recognise the unfinished projects problem too. I have promised my friend to knit her a scarf (for 2 years now -> big procrastinator, that's me baaad :P). Lot of things came up in between so it got clobbered. But I finally picked up her scarf a few days ago and I have been knitting like a mad woman so I can give it to her tomorrow.
